Pata Yamaha duo speaks youthful: Xavi Vierge joins Andrea Locatelli to create the duo for Yamaha Racing’s official team. The retirement of the legendary Jonathan Rea opened the doors for Spaniard Xavi Vierge into Yamaha; in fact, the 6 times WorldSBK Champion approved and recommended Vierge’s move to the blue team. On the other side, Locatelli has demonstrated being the most competitive rider over a Yamaha YZF-R1 during the last seasons: it’s no surprise that the factory from Iwata keep the service of the 2020 World Superport Champion. Locatelli’s smooth style and Vierge’s competitive edge make them a formidable duo aboard the Yamaha YZF-R1, a machine known for its balance and race-proven performance on circuits around the world.

The objective will be bringing the Yamaha YZF-R1 to the top of the standings, a feature achieved two times: in 2009 with the American Ben Spies and in 2021 with to Toprak Razgatlıoğlu.
