Axel Bassani (Feltre, Italy, July 24, 1999) is one of the most exciting riders in the FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK). Renowned for his aggressive racing style and fearless overtakes, the Italian has built a reputation as one of the championship's most entertaining and determined competitors.

Bassani made his WorldSBK debut in 2021 with Motocorsa Racing aboard a Ducati, quickly impressing with his pace and consistency. During his time with the independent Ducati team, he secured multiple podium finishes and regularly challenged the factory riders, establishing himself as one of the strongest independent competitors on the grid.

His performances earned him a move to the official Kawasaki Racing Team in 2024, where he took on the challenge of developing the Ninja ZX-10RR alongside some of the world's best riders. In 2025, he continued his journey with the new Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team, helping return the iconic Italian brand to the WorldSBK Championship.
