Marc VDS Racing Team is one of the most respected names in international motorcycle racing. Founded in Belgium by Marc van der Straten, the squad built its reputation through years of success in Grand Prix racing before entering the FIM Superbike World Championship in 2024. While the team is also well known for its achievements in Moto2, with three World Championships under his belt, its WorldSBK project represents a new chapter focused on competing at the highest level of production-based racing.

The team joined WorldSBK in partnership with Ducati and British rider Sam Lowes became the cornerstone of the project, bringing with him extensive experience from Moto2 and a long-standing relationship with the Marc VDS structure.

Despite being a newcomer to the championship, Marc VDS Racing Team quickly established itself as a serious and ambitious independent squad within the WorldSBK paddock. The combination of Ducati machinery, experienced technical staff, and the professionalism developed through years of world championship racing allowed the Belgian team to adapt rapidly to the demands of Superbike competition.

Marc VDS is easily recognized: the team’s unique burgundy colours are among the most distinctive liveries in motorcycle racing, a strong personality that reflects the character of its owner Marc van der Straten, a true passionate of motorsport.

With a growing presence in WorldSBK and the experience gained from decades competing at world championship level, Marc VDS Racing Team continues to strengthen its position as one of the most promising independent teams on the grid.
