A collection for those who know that suspension isn’t just about comfort: it’s about performance, it’s about shaving milliseconds to get into the podium.

This collection is only available at the official WorldSBK Store — the home of racing lifestyle gear. Don't miss your chance to own a piece of Showa heritage.

Let’s take a look at the components of the collection!

Showa Logo T-shirt

A classic: this is the t-shirt used by the Showa technicians working in the paddocks. Available in black or a classy Prussian blue, features the logo of Showa in the chest, with the SHOWA lettering in red/white plus stripes in the corners, mimicking the placement of the Showa logo on the front forks of the WorldSBK machines equipped with this technology. In the back there’s a small Showa logo, just behind the neck.

Showa Patch T-shirt

Minimalist and motorsport cool, it features a single patch in the left breast with the Showa logo in red, plus a small one in the back neck. A single lateral label in red (in the style of Lewis jeans) on the right sleeve adds the final touch to this black T-shirt.

Astemo Showa Logo T-shirt

Result of the merging of Showa suspensions into the bigger automative parts group Hitachi Astemo, this white Showa T-Shirt features the logo of Showa in red preceded by the single ‘A’: the logo of Astemo. As with the ‘Showa Patch T-shirt’, a small single red label on the right sleeve ads a nice finish to the overall clean design. Corporative, practical and smart to wear (it’s white, it’s fresh!) is a nice choice for those who are aware of the bright future for Showa.

Showa Cap

Trucker style cap, the Showa cap is a high quality item featuring a with mesh and a textile front and curved visor in black. The red and white Showa logo with corner stripes (as used in the front fork of racing bikes) is on the main frontal zone. The white mesh features two big side stripes in corporative grey and red that give a sporty and dynamic touch, making this cap appealing and fashionable. Adjustable, breathable, and ready for race day, this is the cap you’ll be wearing all season long!

Showa Hoodie

The design of the Showa Hoodie continues the lines of the ‘Showa Logo T-Shirt’: the big Showa logo is the main protagonist in the chest, but the addition of the logo in white with a sporty red stripes all along the right sleeve, make this hoodie unique and cool looking. Soft, durable, and stamped with the iconic Showa name, it’s the perfect mid-layer for a cool day at the circuit or a weekend ride. The large chest logo gives it that unmistakable garage-team feel.

Showa and WorldSBK: a common heritage

Showa is one of the most successful suspension companies in the world, with plenty of world titles, including numerous WorldSBK crowns in its achievements. The very first ever World Superbike champion machine, the Honda VFR750R RC30 of Fred Merkel equipped Showa suspensions in 1988 and 1989.

Showa keep winning titles hand by hand with Honda with American’s John Kocinsky and the RVF750R RC45 in 1997 and Colin Edwards in 2000 and 2002 with the VFR1000 SP. But Show has also equipped other manufacturers in their WorldSBK efforts, earning titles with Suzuki in 2005 – Troy Corser, GSX-R1000R – and more recently with Kawasaki, both with Tom Sykes (2013) and the record wining streak of six titles with Jonathan Rea (2015-2020) onboard the Ninja ZX-10R.

Showa commitment to motorcycling racing started even before the creation of the FIM World Superbike Championship. Indeed, the history of Showa Suspensions is tightly linked to all areas of motorsport.

Showa history: a legacy of precision

Showa, under the name Showa Aircraft Seiki Co. Ltd. began its journey in 1938 in Japan, originally producing aircraft components, including suspensions for all types of planes. Immediately after the Second World War, Showa restarted its production but shifting to suspensions for vehicles, under the new name Showa Seisakusho Co., Ltd. In this new scenario a business partner was key for the brand: Honda. From 1953, Showa was manufacturing shack absorbers for Honda motorcycles, including the mass production and worldwide hit Super Cup.

Showa Suspensions entered in the international racing stage during the 1959 Motorcycle World Grand Prix season, including racing at the Isle of Man TT, with the Honda works team. From then on, the commitment of Showa into racing grew and at the same time the business and company also became bigger. In 1962, Showa started the production of suspensions for automobiles, joining also Honda in their effort in Formula One since 1964.

Years later, Showa won their first 500cc World Championship (currently MotoGP class) in 1983 with Freddie Spencer and the Honda NS500. In the same era, Showa Suspensions were also competing and winning in Motocross on both sides of the Atlantic. In 1988, apart from the World Superbike title, Showa also won their first Formula One title with McLaren-Honda, a feat they achieved four years consecutively.

A new era: Showa and Hitchi Astemo

Until 2020 Showa was part of the global Honda Corporation. This business adventure didn’t stop Show partnering with other elite manufacturers like Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Ducati, and Triumph, not only in racing but also as OEM equipment.

From 2021, Showa Suspensions became part of the larger Hitachi Astemo group, specializing in automotive parts. The group also encompasses other renewed Japanese brands, like Nissin brakes and Kehin fuel supply systems together with Hitachi automotive parts.

Showa will continue to operate as the major brand in suspensions technology for the group, thanks to their know-how, decades of experience, and top quality products capable of top performance on the road and on tracks.

The Showa merchandise collection: race-bred, street-ready

The Showa Collection isn’t about flashy graphics or gimmicks. It’s clean, bold, and performance inspired. Just like the brand itself. Each piece is designed to feel like it came out of a race trailer, or off the back of a crew member during a championship weekend.

Whether you’re trackside, on the road, or just living life in gear, this collection lets you carry a piece of racing history with you, every day. The Showa Collection is a nod to a brand that’s been quietly dominating under fairings and behind the scenes for nearly a century.
