The official collection of the 2025 bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team merchandising is already on sale at the WorldSBK Store!
Premiered on February 6th, in occasion of the team official presentation in Rimini (Italy), the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team new collection is a breath of fresh air in the WorldSBK grid. A historical return that is a must watch for every motorcycling fan in the world… and take note: owning the official merch is being part of new chapter in WorldSBK history too!
Not only by the nature of this racing project – an interesting collaboration between bimota and Kawasaki – but by the colors of the bikes, leathers and gear of the squad, bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team merch is different from all the other teams. bimota’s combination of white with black and red, plus a light grey pattern, creates a distinctive pattern yet-not seen in the paddock. These new colors are featured in all the elements in the collection available; let’s see what this new player can offer to the WorldSBK fans!
2025 bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team t-shirt and polo
The new bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team shirt is predominately white and grey, with secondary elements in black and red, making a powerful contrast to the elegant white and grey elements.
In the top part, the t-shirt features a white background for the logos featured. In the front left, there’s the bimota logo; an all time classic that hasn’t changed since the brands foundation in 1973. On the right side, we find three sew-on patches, featuring the Kawasaki logo. The team’s other partners logos go on the sleeve, with grey background.
On the back, there’s a big feature for the logo of the team: a variation of bimota’s brand logo, with crossed Italian flag colors and the teams name BbK (bimota by Kawasaki). On the low part we find another logo of bimota by Kawasaki with a grey background.
The arms bands on the t-shirt and the polo plus the bottom features four distinctive stripes; two in red, two in white, with a black background. There is a common element found also in the new bike of the team: the KB998 Rimini. The main difference in the design of the polo versus the t-shirt, is that the black collar is much more predominant in the polo; but the black color stays.
2025 bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team cap and beanie
White and grey is also the predominant colors of the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team cap. The striking white front is emblazoned with the teams logo. The cap, trucker style, has the perforated mesh in grey with Kawasaki and bimota by Kawasaki logos; on the side there’re the four stripes in black and red. A curious detail: in the back of the visor, there’s an extra bimota by Kawasaki logo, big but hidden to the view if looked from above!
The bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team beanie has a slightly different combination: red is more predominant thanks to an overall red stripe in the edge. The team and bimota by Kawasaki logos are in rubber patches, meanwhile the Kawasaki logo is embroidered. In the white zone holding all this logos we found also the four stripes and the rest of the beanie is in grey.
2025 bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team sweatshirt, jacket and gilet
When in cold weather, the team offers three different options. The sweatshirt is the basic one, following a near identical design pattern from the t-shirt and polo. The black is featured in more prominence since the sides and inner face of the long sleeves are made in this color in combination with the grey. But other from that, the colors and logos placements are the same, including the four stripes. A nice addition to the sweatshirt is two zipped pockets. The main closure is also by zipper.
The bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team jacket is for a more sever cold weather and also offers protection from the rain thanks to the waterproof outer material and the hood, the latter all in black color. From the design point of view, the jacket follows the same lines of the sweatshirt, with the only difference found in the addition of the black hood.
Finally, the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team gilet is a nice compromise to complement any other piece of the collection if we want more protection against the wind or the cold. Made to be worn over the other elements, its design matches perfectly when dressed.
bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team merchandising: a modern collection with heritage colors
Overall, the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team feels quite different to other teams, mainly by choosing light colors, with a predominance for white overall. But the choice of these colors is not casual: bimota’s brand image has always heavily featured white combined with red in its history. These were the colors of the bimota YB4 that won the first ever WorldSBK race in 1988. bimota is back to WorldSBK and has choose to keep it’s main brand colors in this new partnership with Kawasaki.
This allegiance to their roots while creating a new identity is also seen in the team’s new logo. Back in the day, bimota racing bikes featured the ‘bimota experience’ logo: the main b with white background and two stripes to represent the Italian flag. The new bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team have kept this presence incorporating the lettering ‘BbK Racing Team’ to indicate the team’s name.
A new era for bimota, a new project for Kawasaki
Choosing these new colors for the new bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team has been a strong decision by both bimota and Kawasaki. The image follows the tradition of the Italian brand, giving ample freedom for the manufacturer from Rimini. Those hardcore fans expecting some ‘Kawasaki green’ in the colors of the bike and merch can feel a little bit disappointed. Fortunately for them, the green is still alive in the merch collection of the Kawasaki WorldSBK Team, operated by Puccetti Racing with official material.
But differences in opinions appart, the new bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team looks good with their new colors. WorldSBK has recovered an historic name – one of the ‘og’s’ – and the team offers fresh air and more glamour to the paddock. We have a full 2025 season to enjoy the beautiful lines of the KB998 Rimini. Let’s see what Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani can offer in the track in this new interesting outfit!
